Thank you for a wonderfully written and very entertaining article. The horror genre is one of my favorites precisely because it can often be quite funny, well if you happen to have that kind of sense of humor. 😜 I think some of my friends worry about me sometimes.
I think what Horror does for me and maybe for others too, is that it takes a subject that most of us fear, which is death, and allows us to poke fun at it just a bit. It's a kind of catharsis to be able to laugh at death.

Thanks for your kind words, Hope. I agree, there's catharsis there. I may write about Reanimator one of these days. It's also a personal favorite. 🪱
